How can I customize the accordion-style product descriptions for different items?

I have an issue. I have 2 different types of products on my store.. but the major problem is this: MY store’s theme is Dawn and they have a universal folding description menu.. i think they call it like an accordion style description.. where u have multiple tabs and u click on them and they open or fold close.

So before I added new products, I just had one product.. and the fact taht my descriptions and specifications and such under those tabs were universal did not matter.. But now I have other products, and its still showing the product descriptions and specifications for my other product, under every product page.

While I like and want that style of description, how do I make it different for each product?

You probably need to make them individual products rather than variants of the same product. This way each different product can have its own listing and description.

Nah, they are all individual products. the theme however has these tabs that are universal to every product.. no matter what product page u click on, these tabs show on them, and the content of those tabs are universal too.. so its not different for each product. i hope that makes sense

There is also a universal video part of the product page.. I wish i could make the videos unique forf each product page but whatever video i put there, shows for all products :confused:

If you filled in the text on the theme itself, then yeah, its gonna all be the same regardless of which product page you’re on. See Image below:

Perhaps a better approach would be through adding a meta field to each product for each piece of information you want to dynamically show in these boxes.

You would add the same metafield to each individual product and fill out the specific information related to that product on each individual product listing under “Products” in your admin.

if you want to make it different then either need to use separate
template for each product, which is not feasible if you have many products
or you will need to use some page builder app like pagefly

you are facing the issue as shopify uses a shared template approach, that
way the content added via customization settings on single page is shared
on all pages and any change to it changes on all pages.

I have an idea @suyash1 @DakotaChick . How do I just make the accordian dropdown description tabs in the product page description in Shopify Dashboard (as opposed to customize).. so taht i can use code to individually put a dropdown / accordian tab description on each of my indivdual products.

THen i can disable the theme based on or utilize that for other things liek Shipping/FAQ/etc

Now I hav eanother question, How do I post a picture with using custom code section? I use a multi column section to post 1 image .. but it doesnt display the image in its full width/resolution
