How can I customize the header size and position in Stiletto 3.1.0 theme?

Topic summary

A user wants to modify the Stiletto 3.1.0 theme header to include margins on all sides (not full-width) and not be attached to the top of the screen, similar to the design on yproject.fr. They also want to customize the header layout with the logo on the left and search, cart, and menu on the right, with a white background.

Current Limitation:

  • Stiletto theme only supports full-width headers through the theme editor
  • No built-in option to adjust header width or add margins

Response from Support:

  • Crystal from Fluorescent (theme developer) confirmed this feature isn’t currently available in the theme settings
  • Suggested the user submit this as a feature request on their Public Feature Request Board
  • Noted that custom code modifications might be possible but didn’t provide a solution

Status: Unresolved - awaiting either community code solution or future theme update

Hello hello!

I was wondering if something similar to what www.yproject.fr has in its header could be done, that is, that the header does not take up the entire screen and is not attached to the top but contains margins (my current theme is Stiletto 3.1.0 and my beta shop is: https://winnerofficial.com (password: y21)

I would love to have an identical rectangular shape (with the same margins as in the reference photos) to the one they have on their website, with the logo on the left (not the right) and everything else (search, cart, menu, on that exact order) on the right. I would like the background of the header to be white. (I attach reference photos)

I think the options for headers are a bit limited in most themes and many people would be happy to know that there are more customization options for them!

Hi @martujv ,

Crystal here from Fluorescent!

You are totally right, the Stiletto theme doesn’t offer the ability to change the header width directly in the theme editor, and only has the option of a full-width header. (Hopefully, someone else can help you out with a code customization to make this happen). But I wanted to reply here to encourage you to submit this feature request to our team for future development. If you’re comfortable with sharing this on our Public Feature Request Board, we would really appreciate the feedback for our developers to look at.

I hope that helps, and if you need anything else please reach out to us in our Help Centre.
