How can I customize the slideshow in the Dawn theme?

Hi there - I’m looking to do two things:

1. Change the pagination style on the slideshow so that the dots appear on the slideshow image.

2. Have the navigation menu appear on the slideshow image instead of above.

I’ve attached an image for an example of what I’m looking to do.
