How can I delete an account I accidentally created?

How do I delete an account because there was a website I was trying to go to but I figured it wanted me to create a shop with my account and I created one only to find out that I wanted to become the store I was trying to get to and I get to I don’t understand this I’m not old enough to be using this I need help to delete my account and it says I need to go to admin but I don’t know how to get there and it keeps redirecting me to the community discussion board I don’t know how to get rid of this

Sorry for the frustration you had to face. Please follow the below steps to get to the admin portal and then delete the account -

  1. Click on this link to reach to admin page

  2. Login with your email and password.

  3. Once logged in go to settings

  4. Go to Payments

  5. Select Plan, then make a choice between Pause or cancel subscription and Cancel subscription.

  6. Review whether you want to sell your store or pause your subscription.

  7. In order to delete Shopify store, select Cancel subscription and close store.

Don’t worry, we can get this fixed for you! You mentioned you do not where to get to the admin of your account/store - when you login here, the page you are brought to is your store’s admin. In order to close/delete your account:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.

  2. Click Cancel subscription or Pause or deactivate store.

  3. If applicable, review the options to pause your subscription, or start a new store.

  4. If you still want to deactivate, then click Cancel subscription and close store or Deactivate store.

  5. Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.

  6. Enter your password, and then click Close store or Deactivate now.
