Hi I need to delete my inactive stores so I can connect my Google domain on my active store. I try to connect connect my domain on my new store which is currently the only one active and it keeps saying I have it on another store.

If the domain you’re looking to use is connected to a Shopify store that is no longer active, you will need to get in touch with our live Support team. They will confirm that you have ownership of that account and domain and work with you to get it removed, which means you’ll be able to add it to your new store. I’m unable to access your account over the Community Forums since we cannot authenticate, but our team is available 24/7 via live chat, email, and callback. When it comes to reaching out to our live Support line, I’ll provide some steps here to make it easier.
- Head over to this link: Contact Shopify Support · Shopify Help Center
- Log in (recommended) or Continue without logging in
- Select the support topic that best suits your inquiry (such as Account or Store settings)
- Scroll down to where it says Get support and select one of the available support options
Once you’re connected to a Support Advisor, you can explain that you need the domain removed from your old store and they will want you through the process.
