How can I delete unused product types in my ecommerce editor?

I have done a lot of recategorization to my site in the last several months and have almost double the amount of “product types” than I actually use.

To be clear, these are just empty product types that were once used but now just sit in an unnecessarily long dropdown of product types. I want to simplify the list to include ONLY types that I’m actively using.

Im looking for an answer to this too. I’m so frustrated. Every tutorial refers to a “category” section, which the shopify doesn’t have or how to delete an actual product. How on earth could it be this difficult to edit tags and product types?
