How can I determine the chosen payment method on my store's orders page?

Hello

In my store i have 4 ways that a customer can pay with:

  1. PayPal

  2. Stripe (MasterCard, Visa, Apple Pay etc…)

  3. Bank Deposit

  4. Cash on Delivery

and i want to ask how can i know in the orders page with which way a customer have choose to pay?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

To know which payment method a customer has chosen to pay with, you can check the orders page in your store’s admin panel. Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to your store’s admin panel.
  2. Navigate to the “Orders” or “Order Management” section.
  3. Find the specific order you want to check.
  4. Open the order details by clicking on it.
  5. Look for the payment information section or a similar field that displays the payment method.
  6. The payment method chosen by the customer should be mentioned there, indicating whether they paid via PayPal, Stripe, Bank Deposit, or Cash on Delivery.

By referring to the payment information section of each order, you can easily identify which payment method the customer used for that particular order.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Hello

In the product order there is not any info about payment, only the sections unfullfiled, authorized, Notes, Customer, Contact information, Shipping and Billing addresses and conversion summary

I apologize for the confusion. In the order details section of your Shopify store, you might not find specific information about the payment method chosen by the customer. However, you can still determine the payment method by following these steps:

  1. Go to the “Orders” section in your Shopify admin panel.
  2. Locate the specific order you want to check.
  3. Open the order details by clicking on the order number.
  4. Look for the “Payment” section or tab within the order details page.
  5. In the “Payment” section, you should be able to see the payment method used by the customer for that particular order.

If you cannot find a specific payment section or information in your order details, it’s possible that the payment method details are not displayed in the default view. In such cases, you may need to customize your order details view or use additional apps or plugins to track and display the payment method information.

Remember, if you are using third-party payment gateways like PayPal or Stripe, you may also be able to find payment details within those respective platforms.

If you’re still unable to locate the payment method information, I recommend reaching out to Shopify Support for further assistance. They will be able to provide you with the most accurate guidance based on your specific store setup.

The only section about payment is this here, but do not refer the method…maybe i must capture the payment first?

Yest, u should. If the order details in your Shopify admin do not provide specific information about the payment method chosen by the customer, it may be because the payment has not been captured or recorded properly.

Remember, capturing the payment correctly is essential not only for order fulfillment but also for accurate reporting and tracking. Ensuring that the payment method information is recorded will help you keep track of different payment methods chosen by your customers.
