Very new to the shopify community… my store hasn’t launched yet but wanted to ask a question.
I have been updating the store with products and variants but would like to ask if there was any way of disabling a variant that isn’t available at the moment instead of having to remove the whole product offline. I am mostly doing dropshipping so some variant, sizes, colours etc are available whereas others are not! Is there also a way of saying this product is coming soon or something?
What you’re looking to do doesn’t typically come natively in Shopify themes. We do offer an advanced tutorial on how to make variants unavailable here; however, I can’t guarantee that it’ll work with your theme. If you do attempt to make any changes I would recommend downloading a copy of your theme by going to Online Store/Themes/Actions/Download. This way you have a backup copy should you have any issues with the changes you’ve made.
If you’re not comfortable making the changes, or if the tutorial doesn’t work, then your best bet would be to hire a Shopify Expert if another Community member isn’t able to provide insight on how to make these changes.
