Hi All,

I’ve built my new store using Maestrooo’s Prestige theme (which is stunning). On my product pages where I have variants, I need the default ‘Auto Variant Selection’ disabled and the ‘Add to Cart’ button greyed out, showing text like, “Please Make a Selection First”, so that the customer has to select a colour (or bottle size) before they are able to add to cart.

I should add, I am using the Block variant picker display option, NOT the dropdown option.

Our demographic are generally older people who (very) regularly just click ‘Add to Cart’ without realising they haven’t chosen their desired colour (or size of bottle) first (if it other than the default variant). If they actually wanted something other than the first (default) variant, we end up having to bear the cost of the correction.

Hoping someone can assist.

Hello Scott,

It’s possible but needs customization. If you need it you have to ask a developer to make necessary changes in the theme.

or once try to ask from the theme support.

No, unfortunately not. I ended up adding a text box with red font, starting “Please select colour before adding to cart”, right before the ‘Add to cart’ button (please see attached).

It was the best option without modifying code.
