How can I display different information for each product variant?

Hello all,

I have products in my shopify webshop, with several variants.
When i switch from variant, the information doesnt switch with the variant.

This means, when a customer is switching from variant, he doesnt see the correct information because i have diffrent information for each variant. (Variant A is 1 kilo and 50 cm, Variant B is 3 kilo and 35 cm)

Is it possible in shopify, to have diffrent variants for the same product and shown on the “same page” with the diffrent information shown?

Or is the only solution to import every product apart from eachother? This way each product has his own information.

Product description is per product, so it does not change when you switch variants.

If you wish to show different description per variant you have two options:

  1. Use an app like this one: https://apps.shopify.com/dynamic-variant-description

  2. Shopify now offers variant metafields, so you can use these to store part of description which should change with variant changes. This will require theme modification though.
