How can I display my store name in Google search results instead of the domain?

Hello everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with how my store’s name appears in Google search results when searching from my homepage.

The problem lies in the display format - it currently shows my domain name instead of my store’s actual name. I’ve noticed that other stores have their specific names displayed in this section, but mine is represented by the domain name.

I’m seeking advice on how to ensure that my store’s name is prominently displayed in Google search results, similar to other stores, rather than showing the domain name.

You want to your website’s home page will show the Google search engine. It is possible but you need to Search Engine Optimization(SEO) on your website.

That’s the Site Name and comes from one of four places:

  1. WebSite structured data (Google’s preferred method)
  2. The og:site_name
  3. Pulled from your tag
  4. Other headings and text found on the page

This article explains the site name in more detail with code examples. But it should come from your WebSite structured data (#1) as that is Google’s preferred method and it’s the most reliable method.

If your theme doesn’t include the name, you can ask them to add it, add it yourself, or install a structured data app like JSON-LD for SEO that does it for you.
