Hello, due to currency change in my country, we need to state our prices in double currency (HRK and EUR). How to do that? Double currency is an obligation. Thank you in advance.
Topic summary
Croatian merchants need to display dual pricing (HRK and EUR) across their entire store due to a legal requirement for the currency changeover period (1 year and 3 months). The conversion rate is fixed at 1€ = 7.53450 HRK.
Required Display Locations:
- Category and product pages
- Cart and checkout
- Order confirmation emails
- Invoices
Current Status:
- Shopify customer service confirmed no built-in solution exists for this requirement
- Manual price changes are impractical for stores with 1000+ products, especially when prices update frequently
- One user found partial coding solutions on Facebook group “eCommerce Hrvatska” that work for web pages, but checkout and invoice sections remain problematic
Alternatives Explored:
- Custom app development suggested but not confirmed as viable
- Multiple Croatian merchants reported the same issue to Shopify support
- Shopify experts reportedly lack solutions
The discussion remains unresolved, with merchants facing potential platform migration due to legal compliance requirements.
Hi there,
Are you looking to display different pricing for different currency?
Like HRK 1200, EUR 120?
If you want to display text only, it can be done easily. If you want to displayed different pricing, then you may have to do some works.
Thanks.
It needs to be displayed everywhere.
- on the category pages,
- on the product pages,
- in the cart,
- at the checkout,
- in the emails sent as the confirmation of the order,
- everywhere the price is displayed
Because our law is soon changing into dual currency for the next 1 year and 3 months. Both EUR and HRK have to be displayed.
the law is called “GUIDELINES FOR ADAPTATION OF THE ECONOMY IN THE PROCESS OF THE CHANGEOVER FROM THE CROATIAN KUNA TO THE EURO”
Conversion rate: 1€ = 7,53450 HRK
Manual adding text if you have over 1000 products that change in price would not be a solution for me, because my prices can change every 12 hours. It has to be the exact conversion rate I just mentioned for every product and every invoice.
here are some examples to understand this situation.
Talked to customer service, they will update me if they find a way to to that. For, now there is no additional app to show the correct double pricing on the page.
I got an answer, they do not have any kind of a solution to this request. Unfortunately,I do not have any choice than to leave this platform.
Hi Pnacin,
Ready made solution may not be available for your requirement.
Do you think you can look for customized solution i.e. a customized app only for you that resolves your requirement.
Update on that, I found two codes that work for the web page
Go to facebook eCommerce Hrvatska , they have some coding solutions at hand.
The only thing that still bugs me are the chechout and invoice part.
Hello , did you find solution for making changes from Euro to kunas ?
Hi,
I would like to display text only for two currencies on one product, e.g. €50 (SEK 500)
How to do that?
Thanks
Pozdrav, ima li kakvih novosti na ovu temu? Kako prikazati kn i eur?
