How can I display Shopping Cart and Subtotal side by side in Dawn Theme?

Hi all,

I was curious if it is possible on the Dawn theme to display the Shopping Cart and Subtotal/Checkout side by side in two columns so the subtotal and checkout buttons are be above the fold when browsing the site on desktop.

I’ve tried adding a Custom Liquid sections on the cart page putting the main-cart-items and main-cart-footer sections in two columns but I’m getting the error “This code has errors. Correct the syntax to save your custom Liquid.” so no luck!

Any insights or help would be much-appreciated.

It can be done by doing some code customization. Please take the help of a developer and hire Shopify Expert or me
