In my products page where I see the list and can export/import. Currently I only see Product (description), Inventory, type and vendor. How can I see the SKU?
Topic summary
Users are requesting the ability to display SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) numbers directly on the main Products admin page in Shopify. Currently, the Products page only shows product description, inventory, type, and vendor columns.
Workaround identified:
- One user notes that SKUs are visible by navigating to the separate Inventory section (left sidebar under Products)
- However, this workaround doesn’t help when using batch editing functions like adding tags or sales channels
User frustration:
- Multiple users report this limitation wastes significant time when searching for products
- The feature is frequently requested by clients and considered essential for workflow efficiency
- One user highlights over 4,300 views on the thread, emphasizing widespread demand
Status: The discussion remains unresolved with no official Shopify response. Users continue requesting this feature, describing it as a simple technical implementation (adding a column to link an existing SKU field) that would provide major operational benefits.
Anyone figure this out yet
same here would like to have this feature ??
Agreed . Would be a handy feature please.
Is there a solution to this already?
I have had clients ask me for this all the time. I agree this needs to be addressed.
If you click on the “Inventory” link on the left side (under Products) that list will show you the SKU numbers.
This issue seriously kills us. And being able to see the sku in the inventory section can be helpful sometimes. Though it doesn’t really help if you’re using many of the editing functions, like batch adding tags, or adding sales channels. We waste so much time just trying to find things. It seems like such a simple fix. Shopify, please add!
Agreed. Would be a reachable function, of my site, please?
Plus one for this feature, please.
Still any solution?
This is a MUST HAVE! It should be VERY simple, I mean, it’s just a matter of adding a column linked to an existing field (SKU) to the report, copy/paste the formula from the “Inventory” reports to the Products report… ![]()
Hey Shopify, I mean the OVER 4,300 views on this specific post should mean something to you, correct?
Come on, (and PLEASE) make this minor adjustment for you, and a MAJOR feature for us!
Thank you, we love you Shopify!
