How can I display the featured image first on Dawn theme product pages?

In previous versions we had this covered with a change in the code, but now I can’t manage to do it, anybody have a fix?

When the client opens my product page, I want it to show the featured product image, just as labeled by shopify when we are editing the product, but on Dawn theme, the first image that pops up is the first product variant selected.

A lot of us love this theme, but this feature is just the worst for client experience and page performance.

The simple way: Make the featured product, and main product image the same. (they should be by default)

If you mean you don’t want the images to disappear when they select a variant on the main product page then go to product information section and deselect this box:
