How can I display Vimeo videos high on product pages?

Hello, Everyone,

Newbie here…

I use the Debut theme. I’ve added an embedded video hosted by Vimeo to the page. It appears underneath the product description:

Site visitors can see it regardless of browser, Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.

I also added the same video to 2 product photo fields, one uploaded, and the other from the Vimeo URL. Both of them show and play on the back end, but neither shows on the front end. (I installed the Vimeo app, but am uncertain of its function.)

I’d like to make the website more “video centric” but am unable to get my videos to show high on the page, where the product photos appear. That’s where they’re most likely to be seen.

BTW, I’m not very “schooled” at Liquid, but I’m willing to try.

Hi…I am having a similar issue.

Any embedded Vimeo video works in the backend but I get a blank space on the front end. The same thing happens on a product page or a blog post.

I can’t find any resource online that can help. If you find a solution I’d love to know the answer.

Sorry, Chris…

I gave up my search a couple of months ago. I’ve looked (what seems like) everywhere, asked some tech-savvy locals with Shopify experience (they couldn’t discover a solution), and even contacted Shopify Support who couldn’t provide an answer despite my theme having been developed by Shopify (I was referred to Shopify’s endorsed “experts” who are best at setting high fees, even if located in Bangladesh, Vietnam, or elsewhere).

Wasn’t Shopify supposed to be an easily “do it yourself” platform?
