How can I dynamically create a 'Brand' collection with product upload?

Hi,

I have created my product CSV file for upload. I have used the Tags column to create different collections. Like Perfumes, Cosmetics, Skincare, etc. I also would like to create a Menu “Brand” and in the dropdown, I would like to show every single brand. I know I can create it manually the way I am going to create other collections but I have around 900+ brands(vendors), it will take too much time to create it manually. So I was wondering is there a way to create this collection dynamically with Product upload.

I have red about how to add the “Collection” column in the CSV file, is this the right way to go about it? If I use this method is this not going to affect my other collections. See the example column below:

Hi

What you want to do is create an automatic collection for each brand and then add all those brands to your menu. You can automate this by putting the brand name as a tag for each product during the product csv import. Once you have those tags or even before you just create an automatic collection for each brand: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/collections/automated-collections

You can also use the column vendor in automatic collections so you could populate all your brands in that column and not use tags.
