How can I edit a product directly from my website?

Topic summary

Main issue: The bottom “admin bar” that appears on the Shopify storefront when logged in (allowing quick edits to the current product/page) has disappeared in Google Chrome after previously working earlier this year.

Clarification: A screenshot was shared to confirm the exact bar. The suggested condition to see it—keeping Shopify Admin open in one tab and the storefront in another—did not restore the bar for the original poster.

Next steps: The helper requested the store URL to check whether custom CSS might be hiding the bar; the URL (https://www.glassartbylinda.com/) was provided for inspection.

Additional reports: Another participant reported the same issue and asked if a fix was found.

Status: No resolution or confirmed cause yet. The leading hypothesis is theme or custom CSS interference, but this remains unverified. Key unanswered questions: whether recent theme changes, CSS, or browser/login conditions are preventing the admin bar from rendering.

Hi, when I started using Shopify earlier this year, if I was on my published Shopify website (in Google Chrome) there was a bar at the bottom of the page that would allow me to go back into Shopify admin to edit that specific product or page.

This bar has disappeared recently - can someone advise how to get it back?

Many thanks, Linda

Hi @GlassArtByLinda Hope you are doing well
Are you taking about this bar?

if yes then you need to open the admin panel on one tab than open website on other tab. Thanks.

Hi, yes that’s the bar. I do have the Admin panel open on one tab, logged in, and my website open in the next tab.

But I see no bar - any other suggestions, please?

Hi @GlassArtByLinda Can you please share your store URL so, I can look if there is some CSS that hides the bar.
Thanks.

The bar was appearing until a few weeks ago.
