How do I edit the customer login/sign up page? to match the rest of our store, ideally without code changes as we want auto theme updates.
Also want it to be either login or register as options for new customers?
On our site www.littlewhimsy.co.nz if you click on the Account link it takes you to a really ugly looking page currently.

oh sorry for that issue it can be done some customization code just send how do like that pages.

As per the demo store your login page is customizable, please checkout account/login page related option in your theme settings.
Thanks I reached out to the developers as I couldn’t edit it there and they replied and have now fixed it:
“In terms of this page formatting query, our development team have advised that we discovered the Shopify auto-update process for themes recently misfired and it affected a small number of merchants’ stores, meaning this page doesn’t have the theme’s own styling applied. After speaking with Shopify via our direct channels of communication, we have been assured it won’t happen again in future updates”
