How can I edit the 'You May Also Like' section on my product page?

I recently noticed that my product pages have a “You May Also Like” section. I would like to edit the products in this section, but can’t find out how to do so. How can I remove the products that are there and add products similar to the product on the page?

Hi, @jpshivell .

Thanks for your message, I would be happy to provide you with some insight into this. The product recommendations that show in the section are based on products that are commonly purchased together or products in related collections. Product recommendations become more accurate over time as more order and product information becomes available. You can find more information about how product recommendations work in our helpful guide here. We also have an informative doc that further details how we gather the data for product recommendations here, that you may want to investigate further.

Alternatively, you may want to look into a third-party app that can offer a product recommendation feature. I went ahead and outlined a list of product recommendation apps here that you can look through. However, keep in mind most applications will act in a similar way we do in the sense that they will take time to build accurate data from customers to build similar product recommendations. I hope this helped offer you some insight into how to move forward with your idea. Please feel free to reach back out here directly with any questions you may have, we are always happy to help out!

When I originally posted my question, I also contacted Shopify support as well. I was a little more detailed about what I wanted to do, so, to be fair, they had more information than you did. They were able to show me how to turn off “Product Recommendations” instead of editing them, and recommended an app that does exactly what I wanted. I knew what I wanted to do, but was attempting the wrong way to do it. If I had been more specific in my original post, you probably would have given me the same answer they did. Thanks for your help.
