How can I effectively clear a customer's cart?

Hey, I have a lot of old customers, and they complain about the cart, I found 2 solutions for that:

  1. Create a button that will clean the cart

  2. clean the cart every time the customer goes out (guest), but that the abandonment checkout will still work

I will be happy if someone will tell me how to do these solutions.
