The way in which you will fulfill orders will depend on your business strategy. Can you elaborate on how you receive your products? Do you have your own inventory? Or, do you dropship? Perhaps you have sent your products to a fulfillment center?
If you are dropshipping, you don’t need to pre-purchase inventory. Instead, you will purchase orders directly from your supplier when you make a sale. When purchasing from your supplier, instead of using your address for shipment, you will give your supplier your customer’s address. This means inventory never has to touch your hands.
If you have your own inventory stocked at your home, you will package and ship your customers orders manually. You will then mark your orders as fulfilled when you drop them off at your local post office or shipment center. Additionally, if you live in a region supported by Shopify Shipping, you can purchase labels and print them at home, directly in your Shopify Admin.
