I am hoping there are some real gurus on here, I am trying to set up our inventory via Shopify. WHILE it is pretty self explanatory I am curious if anyone has found a good workaround for tracking variants. We sell tables, So we have multiple tops and leg combinations that use the same pieces as other products. So none of our pieces are exactly dedicated to one product in particular.
So what I want to find out is if I can assign skus /UPC to each piece of the full product. I.e. each table top gets one sku/upc and the legs get another.
Like in Ship Station we have parent and child and alias, unfortunately I would use SS but i have 2600 products that i have to go through (ultimate goal). So I am taking one small step at a time and starting with Shopify.
Does that make sense? Thanks for any help, or tips in general for figuring out inventory, especially if you have a similar business with a lot of unique pieces too.
