How can I enable color filtering for clothing products?

Hi,

We want to allow customers to filter our products by color. We have a lot of clothes that come in different sizes and colors. We want to be able to show each variant as a single product on the collection pages, and somehow allow people to filter by color. We use 3rd party theme and they mentioned the theme doesn’t come with this functionality, but I’m wondering if anyone else experienced the same thing and managed to find a solution?

This feature is called Show variants as products. This one is available in this filter app https://apps.shopify.com/ultimate-search-and-filter-1. You should go to App settings => Premium and enable Variants as products. It also offer the filter system that the corresponding variant image/color is presented to your customers.

Thank you for this. Does the app mess up our theme files? we are using a 3rd party Shopify theme and worried if we install it changes some configurations.
