Hi!
I am a template developer. And I’m building a new theme on your platform. I’m trying to make my theme public to users, but currently “Password protection” I can’t click to enable/disable. Please guide me to make this checkbox not disabled. Thank you very much.
Hi, @HuyTran_1 .
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
I understand that you’re a template developer and you’re trying to make your theme available to the public. However, it looks like you’re trying to disable the password protection for your online store, which only makes your store live but this wouldn’t make your theme available to the public. Just to clarify, are you simply launching your store and showing your theme?
Removing the storefront password will require the store to be upgraded from the development plan, as this essentially makes the store live and enables the checkout for order processing. So if you’re only looking to show your store to a select group, then I’d recommend simply sharing the password and granting access to view your store instead. That being said, are you building the store for a client? Did you or your client get a moment to check out our monthly plans and features?
That being said, since you’re also Shopify Partner, then you could also be looking to publish your theme to the Shopify Theme Store and start earning revenue for your theme. Are you looking to sell your theme so that other users can purchase it for use on their own store?
