How can I enhance my new online store for better sales?

Hi!

Store: https://calmcrafters.com/

I just sat up my store and are a completely new beginner. I have no idea what I am doing. Would appreciate feedback for improvements. I haven´t gotten any sales

What could be better?

Thank you so much!

Hello @jj31

I’m Garcia, an CRO expert from PageFly, a Shopify Advanced Page Builder App. I love your products, they are really useful for NetFlix this winter. However, I have some suggestions for you to improve your store:

1. Create hero banner

The hero banner is typically the first thing visitors see when they land on your website. It provides an opportunity to make a positive and impactful first impression. Here is an example as an inspiration for you:

2. Add favicon

A favicon is a tiny icon or logo that appears in the browser tab or bookmark bar when visitors access your website. It reinforces your brand identity and helps users quickly recognize and remember your site.

3. Add featured products on Homepage

The homepage is typically the most visited page on a website. By featuring products there, you ensure that they receive immediate visibility and exposure to a wide range of visitors.

3. Reduce product information in Product page

It will be better to avoid overwhelming users with excessive text. Consider using bold font styles or distinctive colors to make the information stand out.

Another effective approach is to organize the content using accordion tabs. This allows users to expand or collapse sections as needed, keeping the interface tidy and information easily accessible when required.

5. Display or Link to an Easy-To-Read Return Policy from Within the Product Page

Uncertainty about return policies can be a barrier to online shopping. By providing a clear and accessible return policy, you reduce any uncertainty and hesitation that customers may have.

Hope it helps!
Garcia

Do you have any youtube tutorials that I can learn from?

@jj31 It’s great to see that my suggestions have been of some help. I used Canva to edit the images, and with Canva’s free plan, you can easily edit images and access a free source of images. Additionally, for section ideas, you can explore the template libraries provided by page builder apps like PageFly, Shogun,…

Not exactly by my Youtube channel but you can gather some useful information from here https://www.youtube.com/@EcomLearningWithPageFly In case you have any questions, I am happy to answer within my knowledge.
Starting an online store as a beginner can be challenging, I understand that. It requires patience and substantial effort so best wishes to you for success on this journey.

Cheers,
Garcia

Hi @jj31

Clayton Bates here. Registered Shopify Expert.

Few Tips Below

1 Homepage

Needs to flow this page. If you’re building a brand a lot of people will come to this page

Recommend something like the below

  • Banner Image (Goes To All Products)
  • Featured Collection (Best Sellers)
  • Collection List
  • Reviews
  • Story
  • Featured Collection (New Arrivals and/or Sale)
  • Instagram Feed (If you have nice images on Instagram)

2 Product Page

I’d remove “Tax included. Shipping calculated At Checkout” everyone knows this is going to happen and it’s taking up important space. This video shows you how to remove

I’d add product tab for the below

  • Returns Policy

Think about breaking up some of the text with images and add “You May Also Like” under reviews

3 Site Navigation

This is so important to make it easy for users to navigate the website. About 33%+ of people use the site navigation on website. The footer menus are also really important.

I made a detailed video going over how you can update this

4 Checkout

Add logo and colors here. This video shows you how

I’d also add special instructions into your cart. About 1/10-20 people leave special instructions and this is good for customer support.

5 Mobile friendly

Just needs some tweaks. The below link has lots more free videos to learn from also

Pretty much anything is possible when you put your mind to it.

Cheers
