Hey,
My site has a speed of 64 and i want to improve it.
I’ve used the motion theme and pagefly to create the landing/home page
What’s the easiest way of doing so?
Best Regards

A user reports their website speed score of 64 and seeks improvement strategies. They’re using the Motion theme and PageFly for their landing page.
Key recommendations provided:
Verify testing method: Confirm whether the score comes from Shopify’s official speed test or a third-party tool, as Shopify’s test is generally more accurate for their platform
Image optimization: Compress images and reduce file sizes (experts recommend keeping total page weight under 4MB, with individual images ideally below 2MB). Google PageSpeed Insights analysis shows the site performs well overall but identifies specific images needing optimization
Lazy loading: Enable lazy loading features (available in PageFly) to defer off-screen image loading, potentially reducing load time by 10-30%
File compression: Reduce image file sizes without sacrificing visual quality or color

Hi @Anonym3845 ,
Thank you for reaching out. Is this speed score of 64 taken from Shopify’s own online speed test report, or did you use a third-party speed test website? If it’s the latter, I’d recommend testing your online store’s speed using the Shopify tool as it’s generally more accurate.
I visited your store and it loaded pretty fast for me. Are you using a Shopify-made theme or one offered by a third party? Have you referred to our guide on improving your online store’s speed?
Hi @Anonym3845 ,
This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.
To improve speed for your online store, i have some suggestions here by:
1. Optimize your images
Make your images load faster by reducing their sizes. This will cut out hidden image data and improve compression techniques, often saving 50% or more data.
Image optimization involves three things: compressing images, adjusting their size on the server, and choosing the right format.
I’ve used the tool called Google PageSpeed Insight to check your home page, the performance is pretty good:
However, it still suggests optimizing the image size to have better speed. You can check the details to figure out the specific images:
2. File Compression
Make your images smaller without losing quality or color, which also saves storage space.
3. Lazy loading
PageFly provides you the Lazy Load option, which optimizes your page loading speed, resulting in ultra-fast page loading. Enabling Lazy Load for your page can lead to a 10-30% decrease in loading time.
4. Page Weight
The major determinant of load time is this, and experts advise keeping your website to a maximum of 4MB. The goaded size is below 2MB. And since photos frequently contribute the most weight to a page’s weight, we should start with image compression.
These are some suggestions for improving the page speed.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Kate | PageFly Team
Thank you!
