How can I enter shopify Teams community?

Hi everyone,

I heard that Shopify’s official community has moved from Slack to Microsoft Teams.

Could anyone let me know if there is a Shopify Teams community? how I can join the Shopify Teams community? Is there an invitation link or a request process for access?

Never heard of it and frankly, doubt that official community is on MS Teams.

There is this community and also a DEV forum at https://community.shopify.dev

There’s no official Shopify community on Microsoft Teams, and tim’s instinct is right to doubt it. Shopify’s official spaces are this Community forum and the dev forum at community.shopify.dev, and there was historically a Partners Slack, but nothing on Teams. Whoever told you it moved to Teams mixed it up with the old Slack.

Fake “Shopify Teams community, join here” invites are a known trick to pull merchants into a group where scammers pose as staff, so if you were sent an invite link, don’t join it. Stick to the two official places: this forum for general help and community.shopify.dev for developer topics.

From what I found, it is not really a move to Teams. Shopify actually shut down the Partner Slack entirely late last year, and support moved to the Dev Community Forums instead.

So there is no official Teams community to join. Your best bet now is community.shopify.dev for dev/partner questions.

The Shopify Partners Slack has been shut down, and we don’t have a similar public Microsoft Teams space partners can jump into. All the colaboration these days happens on the Shopify Community forums, face to face Partner events, and the ever so elusive invite only programs that Shopify runs. While you may be searching specifically for conversations on a certain topic, the Community is currently the best place to connect with other partners and merchants, and you can also join independent Shopify focused groups hosted by the wider ecommerce community.
