How can I erase past sales history before selling my online store?

Hi everyone

I am selling my Shopify store and would like to delete the previous sales history figures. Is there anyway I can do this? I have read that I will need to migrate the store?

If that is the case, would I need to redesign it in themes once I have migrated over the products?

Hi @aobdzw ,

It is not actually possible to delete your previous sales history. You could delete customer profiles from your store but customer profiles can’t be deleted in the following cases:

  • the customer has an order history
  • the customer has pending redaction because of a GDPR erasure request
  • the customer has an active subscription now, or if the customer ever had a subscription in the past

I’d like to understand a little more about the context of your sale in order to better help you. Are you a Shopify Partner transferring your store to a client? Or are you a store owner looking to sell your store?
