How can I feature new collections on Dawn theme homepage?

I want to create a NEW COLLECTION category on the main page - maybe through the featured collections tab.

but i cant figure how to make a Collection which will showcase the latest added products only. there is no filter to select or show the latest uploaded products.

Hi there @MehakBothra . I’m happy to help you out with this! What type of products do you sell?

We have two options available when creating collections, automated collections and manual collections. An automated collection will add products to the collection automatically based on criteria you set up. On the other hand, you can manually add all the products you want in a specific collection when using manual collections. You can read more about using collections here.

We don’t currently have a way for automated collections to only pull in new products so if you are just using Shopify as is it would be best for you to create a manual collection for your new products and add them in manually. You would need to keep an eye on updating this collection, but this would work and you would be able to add it to a Featured Collection section in your theme editor following this guide here.

Another option would be to use a third party app to help you create a collection based on how new a product is. I’ve included a couple below that appear to do this. You can also take a look through our app store for other options.
