When I configured weglot with shopify, with english being the default domain and the arabic in a subdomain
The cart is seem to be saved per domain, for example if I added a product to cart on english domain then changed it to arabic the product don’t appear and vice versa.
Thanks a lot for your message. Weglot Support here.
Actually, this behavior is the one expected with the subdomain-based integration.
Be aware that the cart element is managed by cookies.
With the subdomain-based integration, cookies are handled by the domain as each language version is actually displayed on a different domain.

Glad to see @weglot-team team followed up here! Thanks so much.
Just wanted to add that if you are looking to use a bespoke solution here, in tandem with your app, you can also hire a Shopify expert to work alongside you to see if they can get this working exactly how you wish.
Shopify Experts can be hired directly from the Experts Marketplace for this or any other need for your store from marketing, all the way to design work. You can find the marketplace website here.
