A soft 404 means that the page has so little content that it may as well not exist. This is common, for example, for collection pages that have no products listed in them. To fix a soft 404 you want to add relevant content to those pages.
Same thing is happening on my site. I’m guessing there could be some JavaScript in the header that could be blocking the Googlebot from seeing our content. We added Shopify Inbox about the same time as this started, so need to check if that has something to do with it.
Any luck on your end?
I’m getting exactly the same errors. This came out of nowhere around 10th June and we have dropped off Google completely. Any ideas?

Did you by chance deploy Shopify Inbox around the same time? We’re experiencing the same issue and deployed Shopify Inbox around the same time. Wondering if that app might have something to do with it?
I did deploy Shopify inbox but I can’t remember when. I have since deleted it. I have someone looking into this for me and they think it could be a piece of code in the theme which could have been caused by an app. I have deleted all unnecessary apps and I am hoping Google will now index. Fingers crossed. Below is the response I had from my web developer that is looking into it. I’m not an expert, so I not sure what I’m looking at but maybe this will help

I don’t want to go changing your site (Especially over the weekend ) as I just don’t know what app is producing this script. I would hazard a guess at ‘Smart Search & Filter’ but it really is just a guess. My suggestion is removing any apps you really don’t need and then seeing if it disappears. Then if it doesn’t start removing others until you find the culprit.
