I’ve just started having these issues today. I’ve have had this site in development for over 6 months
and now all of a sudden I have to go through a ton of code??
“To preview or save your changes, correct the dynamic source error(s) in the bles-wold-product template.”
The solutions offered seems to be quite complex and above the capabilities of a average user/developer.
I’ve made changes to the dawn theme based on advice from people in this forum.
I’m also using a plugin from itsgot.com to add product nutritional information to the pages and I wondering if the warning at the bottom might be connected to it.
Not sure which liquid template you are using for this specific page, although it looks to be a product.liquid template.
It seems like it’s looking for the ingredients and nutrition facts information, and will not let you save the product unless that information is added.
Not that I am aware of. I’ve had some shopify experts work on the site for me. I’ve looked at the at the definitions under metafields and there are no entries.
It does seem weird to me that I make changes and save on pages that do not use the plugin. but I get the error as soon as I try to work on a page that uses it.
when I look at the Product metafield definitions/metafields without definition, I see that there are 2 entries for 45+ products. Is this possibly the issue?
I tried copying the theme liquid file from a clean version of the Dawn Theme.
The navigation bar disappeared along with all product images.
I’m really stressing out about this because after trying for months to get my client to commit to this project and when they finally did this issue happens.
No worries, we’ll get this fixed. Even though the navigation bar and images disappeared, are you still getting the dynamic source error when you try to save changes?
“check for something that was entered into the theme customization for the template. Look for a Liquid or Metafield block. The error message indicates this could be the source.”
Sorry, that previous question was a bit off topic…I wanted to know if you do make custom code changes and then you do an update on that theme do you lose all the custom code?
Glad you were able to figure it out! If you ever have any other questions, I’m always ready to help. Feel free to send me an email at zqdo.tech@gmail.com.
