How can I fix individual product description changes using metafields?

Hi there all,

I want to change the product description of each dress but it doesn’t work with metafields.

I have created for every product one a metafield with description, but every time when i choose the one of a specific dress, they al change to that one. Does somebody knows how to solve this problem?

To change the product description for each dress using metafields without them affecting all the products, you need to ensure that the metafield values are associated with the specific product variants rather than the product itself. Here’s a general approach to achieve this:

  1. Install the Metafields Editor app from the Shopify App Store or use any other metafields management app that allows you to create metafields for product variants.
  2. Open the Metafields Editor app and navigate to the product for which you want to update the description.
  3. Find the specific variant of the dress that you want to modify the description for.
  4. Create a new metafield for that variant with the desired key and value. This metafield will store the unique description for that specific variant.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each dress variant, creating unique metafields for their respective descriptions.
  6. Save the changes in the Metafields Editor app.

By associating the metafields with the specific product variants, each dress variant will have its own unique description. The metafields will no longer affect all the products.
