Hi. I just switched the theme of our shop and after I went live, I noticed several liquid errors. The most obvious one and one that I really need fixed the quickest involves the menu section in the header. The only way that I have been able to get it to go away is to delete the menu option which is not a workable solution.
Here is the error message:
Could not find asset snippets/icon-hamburger.liquid Liquid error (sections/header.liquid line 106): Could not find asset snippets/icon-close.liquid
I have found this one on 2 of my collection pages as well: Liquid error (sections/main-collection-product-grid.liquid line 126): Could not find asset snippets/pagination.liquid
My website address is thefuncozyco.com.
@thefuncozyco - these error means your theme code is not able to find snippets named - icon-close.liquid and pagination.liquid in your theme files.
You will need to go to theme code and remove these lines, and these errors will go away
Hi,
Thank you for the quick reply. How do I do this exactly? Like what do I search for exactly? I really don’t want to go in and mess up anything else if possible.
@thefuncozyco - please check in header.liquid and main-collection-product-grid.liquid
if you find it difficult then I can check it for you
I was able to find it and I deleted it. But while it got rid of the error message, there is no longer a way to access my collection menu on the mobile site.
@thefuncozyco - was it working with that code? actually it should not be related to menu part, may be javascript conflict
I am really not sure. Out of my depth right now. Is there a way that I can give you access to look at this?
@thefuncozyco - I sent you the request, please check and please share the page link where you are getting this issue
I accepted the request. The menu issue is when you are visiting the site on mobile. It’s fine in desktop mode.
The other error is happening at the bottom of these pages:
https://thefuncozyco.com/collections/home-decor
https://thefuncozyco.com/collections/apparel
@thefuncozyco - checking for menu
@thefuncozyco - i think issue is that your menu on mobile do not have hamburger menu icons, from where did you get this theme? need to report to theme developers, menu is fine
From the theme store. It is Dawn version 5.0.0
@thefuncozyco - checking more
@thefuncozyco - please check now, mobile menu should work, I think your current theme is edited and while editing code was removed
Yes, the error on the mobile site/menu is gone! Thank you so much! Do you know how to get rid of the other one as well? On my collection pages?
@thefuncozyco - i removed on collection page too
I cannot thank you enough for helping me! Truly, thank you!
@thefuncozyco - welcome, please check inbox.
I might actually have to switch to a different theme. Just found more errors.
@thefuncozyco - ok, you can switch to other theme.
