How can I fix my Wokiee theme after the Shopify 2.0 update?

Topic summary

Theme broke after upgrading to Shopify 2.0: a store using the third‑party Wokiee theme (originally on Shopify 1.0) reports metafields (custom data fields) no longer work and other functions are failing. The owner also can’t access the original Envato account used to purchase the theme, complicating support.

Support guidance: a Shopify rep notes Wokiee isn’t supported in the Shopify Theme Store and directs users to the Wokiee developer’s support team for fixes. They also suggest switching to a Shopify‑supported 2.0 theme (rather than reverting to 1.0).

Additional user impact: another participant reports changes to “unique tabs” text (product page tab content) in the product editor don’t update on the site, seeking advice.

Status and key points:

  • No confirmed fix or workaround shared in the thread.
  • Reverting to Shopify 1.0 isn’t addressed; guidance favors staying on 2.0 with a supported theme or contacting the Wokiee developer.
  • Open/ongoing: users await solutions from the Wokiee developer or further community input.

Hi

my site was set up 2 yrs ago with Wokiee theme on Shopify 1.0.

The metafields no longer works and I can’t access my initial Envato account which I made purchase from.

Some functions not working after Shopify 2.0updated.

Any solutions? Or how do I revert back to Shopify 1.0.

Hi there, @LauLee .

Wokiee is a third party theme not supported on our Theme store, so all the support for this theme has to be done by the developer whose support team can be found here.

If you do wish to revert back to a Shopify supported 2.0 theme, we have lots of options here!

Did you find a solution to this? I am in the same boat. None of the changes I make to the unique tabs text on the product editor page update.
Any advice as to what you found?
Thanks!
