Hello, I am wanting to revamp my page so I’m changing the theme but in doing so, I’m running into some issues. When I add a collapsible tab for the material and wash care information it changes it for EVERY product and that information for each of our products is different. I added a meta field to try to fix the problem but it doesn’t seem to help at all. Does anyone know exactly how to fix this?
Hi, @ReinedeV !
Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.
You mentioned that you are running into issues when adding collapsible tabs to each item, as the list appears to be duplicating for all of your products. I’d love to gather more context regarding this so that I can point you in the right direction. Are you able to walk me through your workflow that leads to this happening? For instance, are you editing the description of your products when adding your lists, or making the changes directly on your themes code? Also, what is the name of the theme you are using?
Looking forward to your response!
Yes, thank you! I am trying to edit on the sense theme . Our site is
already up with another theme but I’m just trying to convert it over to
sense. It won’t allow me to edit the description but I can add collapsible
tabs and that’s where I was trying to do one for material and one for wash
care so the page looks cleaner. Let me know if that makes sense or not
Hi again, @ReinedeV !
Thank you so much for providing that additional information.
An alternative to this would be to add your Material and Care information directly in the description on the product page via the admin. Alternatively, you can add unique collapsible tabs by following a few steps. You will want to head over to your theme editor and create a template to customize how your content is displayed.
To do this, head over to the theme editor and click on the default product page section, From there you will want to click on Default Product > find Products in the dropdown menu > click Create Template. Then, you can name the template and make any customizations to the collapsible tabs. After it’s published, assign it in the Shopify admin by heading over to the product page and activating the corresponding theme template.
After this is done, you will be able to manage and assign all of your templates to your products, allowing you to have different sections on each page. Feel free to check out our Template guide that goes into more detail.
Kindly reply back to this thread with any questions or updates and we can continue our conversation further!
Thank you! I will try this out! I appreciate your time and help! ##- Please
