I’ve already set my primary domain as the one I purchased however when I log in and under the domains it still shows the old one which was a completely different name. It also defaults to that one when I sign in to new apps. Does anyone know how to completely remove the default free -shopify domain? I wanted to contact support but the support page kept sending me in a loop so if anyone knows how to actually get a hold of support then that would also be helpful. Thank you!

What you’re seeing with your domains is expected. The default myshopify URL that comes with your store will always be associated with it as it serves as an identifier for your account. Since that’s the case, you’ll always see that domain on your Domains page, it is what you enter when you log in to your store and it will appear on the URL bar when you’re logged into your Shopify admin. That being said, if you added or bought a custom domain and set it as the primary domain, the myshopify URL will not be visible to the public. This can only be seen internally by you.
