How can I get a refund after unexpected card charge?

Hello i tried to enter my card a while ago and then it didnt work so i never used it and i just used the time i had left but now it took 30$ how do i get my money back

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with locating a charge, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding, did you attempt to place an order from an online shop you believe to be using Shopify as a platform?

If so, I would encourage you to contact the shop directly for confirmation on whether or not an order was successfully placed. In the case this is true, the shop will be able to provide assistance with refunding the order to ensure funds have been sent back to you.

Alternatively, did you recently sign up for Shopify? If you signed up for our free trial, a subscription plan may have been selected where you’re seeing this charge. In the case you did not want to proceed with Shopify, you can Contact Support to confirm the shop has successfully been deactivated and request a refund.
