Hi everyone. I am just about to delete Google from my Shopify store through sheer frustration of not being able to get my products approved. Before I do this I wonder if any of you can help. My products were showing as disapproved due to misrepresentation. When I dug deeper I found I needed GTIN or MPN numbers but then I realised the company I use for my art prints is Prodigi and they told me they are not supported by Google so could not provide these. However, I cannot be shown without these. Is there a way I can get these without going through Prodigi? Also, Google are asking for a brand name when I already put my own brand name in. Does this mean I have to use Prodigi as the brand name even though it is my art brand I am selling? I hope this is not too confusing. I am seriously thinking it is too much hassle at this point. TIA
Let’s first check the basics. What you are selling are these print on demand, ie you only create the products when it’s ordered.
Yes they are mostly print on demand. I sell original pieces of art too, which again I do not know how to list because these are one-off paintings that do not have identifiers.

I know the reason for suspension. My problem is that I cannot do anything about it if I cannot get this info from the print on demand company. Every time I approach Google about it they direct me to the same page that you did. I just wondered if there is anywhere else I can get codes for my products and if not should I just cancel Google shopping off my store and rely on my other sources to direct customers to my store? @rosie75 I think you have misunderstood the policy I referenced. It’s not the brand name, GTIN or MPN that is causing your suspension, the reason for your suspension is selling products that are not stocked. Google requires you, the merchant to stock the products prior to selling the item.

Ok, before I delete it, how does this explain the fact that I cannot sell my original paintings that I do have in stock? These are also being stopped from showing. Thanks
Most likely Google looks at your whole business. Maybe if the majority of what you sell is POD, then Google will most likely not approve your business.
Also once flagged, and for direct policy violations, the likelihood of getting approved again is very low. Because I expect Google wants ensurenses that you will not simply add POD again after getting approved.
So maybe if you have a lot of reviews to show you are a trustworthy business may help your case.
