To avail of the free design time, there are a couple of requirements:
- You need to be on a paid Shopify Plan.
- You need to be using a free Shopify developed theme.
If you meet these requirements, then the next step is to log in and contact our support team here, and explain to the support advisor you want to make a theme edit and avail of the free design time. Something to note is that the design time is not for all custom changes and if what you’re looking for is more complex or requires serious customisation it might not be possible via the design time and contacting a Shopify Expert might be the best option then. If you have any other questions, let me know!

When you mention “here” do you mean the exact same way that I wrote this question is how I could get the design time? Besides this I’m not seeing where to contact

Yep, so if you click here, log in to verify and follow the steps to talk to one of the advisors on our support team via a live chat, email or call back. Once you’re talking to an advisor, you can explain you’d like to use your free design time and are eligible along with what you want to do exactly with the design time. From there they will process the next steps for you with our theme support team!
