How can I get the reports to show shipping costs? (like it used to be)

Topic summary

  • Issue: Sales reports show Shipping as 0.00 on every line, and Total_Sales equals the Subtotal (excluding shipping). As a result, report Totals and Taxes no longer match the order page. Older reports (Nov 2023) previously included shipping and matched order totals.

  • Scope/impact: The same behavior appears in a third‑party reporting app, indicating a possible change in underlying data or reporting logic rather than an app-specific error.

  • Key questions raised: What changed in reporting? Is this intentional (a new feature/behavior)? How can the reports be restored to reflect order page figures, including complete tax information?

  • Responses/actions: A third‑party vendor offered 1:1 support via chat/call but provided no in‑thread explanation or fix.

  • Status: Unresolved/ongoing. No confirmed cause, workaround, or official guidance yet; next step suggested is to engage vendor support while awaiting clarification on restoring shipping and tax values in reports.

Hello Shopify Community (and hopefully Shopify Wizards),

I have a problem with our sales reports: Shipping is 0.00 in every line and Total_Sales represent the Subtotal from the order page. I have reports from Nov 2023 where shipping is included and Total as well as Taxes match the Total and Taxes from the order page.

I am in contact with Report Pundit and their report also had the same issues.

What was changed? Is that a feature? Can I have the figures from the order page back in our reports (and hopefully complete tax info)

Thank you very much and best regards!
