How Can I hide the currency next to the prices in the checkout?

I would like to ask how can I remove the currency and the information about the PayPal paymanets which is shown in the checkout.

I tried to change it in the paymants section. Unfortunately it doesn’t work.
Moreover i turn off the currency codes but there is still shown the $ in the checkout. I used the Impact theme.
