How can I improve live reporting on my new admin dashboard?

I like the new Shopify admin, mainly.

However, the new dashboard doesn’t update very well and you have to refresh the page for it to show the latest information.

When I get a new order it is not reflected on the admin home page (sold amount, order count etc) unless I refresh, the ‘live visitor’ information is always way out of date and the graph only updates after a page refresh.

All the information used to be much better updated.

Will this be addressed with a future update..? As of now, while it all looks good, its sort of a step back in ‘live’ reporting.

I hate it, for all the reasons you mentioned above and more. Loss of right sidebar means no notification of blog comments, Shopify Capital panel and a host of other stuff. They have sacrificed function for design. And of course they ignore any comments, at least that’s one thing they haven’t changed.

It does seem, unfortunately, this is not going to be fixed, not any time soon anyway.

The crazy thing is the left hand navigation side bar will update the order count next to the Orders link when a new order comes in. Yet the main admin page only updates after a page refresh. This just seems like a step backwards, as the previous admin dashboard updated with the need to refresh the page.

Left side bar doesn’t update after you’ve reached 9,999 orders! Our last Shopify site, support is abysmal lately, we were locked out for a week recently due to them implementing 2 step verification wrongly.

Oh my, I only do like 30 orders a day. If I was near that quantity, I’d be on a sunny island somewhere while a workforce of some 500+ people handled all the work 10k orders would produce.

 That’s over a couple of years which is how I’ve noticed the deterioration of Shopify support.

Like the Live View. it´s worthless.
