How can I improve my storefront search for overlapping model numbers?

Hi All,

Can anybody tell me how to optimize my search in the storefront search ? For example, I have various products where model numbers overlap, like LM 20UU for a bearing & LM20 for a rod. When I type LM 20, only products with a space between LM & 20 are being shown and vice-versa happens if I don’t include a space. I need to make this search a lot smarter by eliminating such discrepancies. Can anyone help me here as I’m not a coding person ?

Hi @pp7 ,

The search function is coded by developers for their theme I don’t know for sure but a 3rd part search may work better with your store. You can try Product filter & Search option app from Shopify app store.
