How can I improve my website's loading speed?

My website loads incredibly slowly (16). I’ve shrunk the majority of the photos, and none of them are larger than 1 MB.
I have eliminated any unnecessary apps as well, but I’m not sure how to get rid of any unnecessary code or Javascript, so if someone knows how to do that, please let me know.
