How can I increase space between logo and menu bar on Shopify?

Hello everyone,

I have created a new page on Shopify, and I’m a little confuse with some issues in the menu bar. First I’d like to put more space between the logo and menu bar /announcement bar.

Thank you for you help in advance.

Hi @LunaLove .

Thank you for your message, I would be happy to provide you with some suggestions on this.

I am happy to hear you are starting a new Shopify store with us, however, we will need some more context in order to offer support. Can you provide your store link here so I can take a look? also, what theme are you using for your store build? Usually, when trying to create more space between menu options and the announcement bar area, specific coding would need to be manipulated. This may be possible with some help from our Themes team, however, you would need to be utilizing a Shopify-developed theme for this option. If you are using a third-party theme, I would recommend reaching out to your theme developer directly to look into these customizations. On another note, some third-party theme developers will not approve further customizations, if that is the case, you would need to hire a local developer or Shopify Expert to take a look.

Feel free to reach back out here with any further context and your store link and I would be happy to take a closer look at all your options!

I have another request and I will be more than welcome if you can help me :slightly_smiling_face:

I would like to change the font only one item on menu bar (Listings*). I tried by the app fontify but no succes.

TIA

Hi @LunaLove .

Thanks for your reply and sharing the link to your store, I would be happy to offer some further assistance.

I really enjoyed taking a look at your live shop, I really love the colour scheme and professional set-up, it also looks like you offer some beautiful products. In regards to adding more space between your logo and the main menu area, this should be something our themes team can help you out with should you still have available design time. I would recommend reaching out to us directly via our Help center here and logging in to your account to create a support request. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Once you reach a live support member and explain your request, the team member will be able to check with our themes team if you are eligible for this customization.

In regards to your font question, have you tried changing it directly through your theme settings before utilizing a third-party app like Fontify? If not, I would recommend trying this first by heading to Online store>Themes>Customize>Theme Settings and selecting Typography:

If you have tried this and are not finding the font you want to use, hence the use of an app like “Fontify”, I would recommend reaching out to Fontify’s support directly to inquire if the one you want to use is one they can help you add. You can find Fontify’s support information here under the “Support” tab:

If Fontify is not able to support your font request, your next steps would be to reach out to a local developer or hiring a Shopify Expert who may be able to help out further. As a quick aside, I noticed these two menu items on your website seem to be sitting higher than your other menu items:

Is this something that you intended to do to accentuate these specific menu items, or is this something you are having an issue with as well? If so, this would also be worth reaching out to our live support team, to see if our themes team can take a quick look.

I hope this information helps you out moving forward, feel free to reach back out with any further questions you may have!
