How can I insert a custom widget into a product page?

Hello, I am editing my friends website and I created a coded widget to replace the pre-installed gallery layout for the products. I wanted a different look for the product picture layout. However I’ve been trying to figure it out for hours and cannot find a way to put the widget in a product page.
