I’m thinking about purchasing a .woff font soon but want to make sure its possible to change the font on my website before doing so. Any help would be appreciate thanks!

What a great idea to purchase and add custom fonts for your store! Are you comfortable with coding, or have a developer on your team that can help you achieve this? If not, the quickest and easiest way to add your own fonts is by installing a third-party app. Our Shopify App Store has a few different apps that can help you achieve this, and I managed to find a couple of apps that you might be interested in. Feel free to take a closer look at them:
Please note that these apps have been made by third-party developers outside of Shopify. So if you do have any specific questions about them, I recommend getting in touch with the app developers. They’d be best equipped to answer app specific queries, and can confirm any app features and functionalities that you need more clarification on.
You also mentioned that you’re using the Highlight theme for your store, which is a third-party theme. If your theme has a standalone website, outside of our Shopify Theme store, you might find that the theme’s website has instructions on how to add your own fonts directly onto your theme’s coding. Just as an example, one of our Theme Partners, Out of the Sandbox, has a guide here on how users of their theme can implement custom fonts via coding. If you’re not familiar or comfortable with coding though, I highly recommend you instead opt for one of the third-party custom font apps from our Shopify App store. But if you prefer the custom fonts to be implemented to your theme’s coding straight away, you can also reach out to and hire one of our Shopify Experts, as they’re equipped with coding knowledge to help you achieve this.
Implementing custom fonts for your store is a really great method of creating a more personalised and memorable branding for your business. Some of the most memorable stores I’ve come across have a strong design overall, through their distinctive use of colour palette and typography.
