i want to integrte my domain from name.com to my website , How it Works ?

Hi, @AhmedFathy12 .

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community.

To integrate your domain, you’ll need to transfer your third-party domain to Shopify.

Prior to transferring your domain to Shopify, you’ll want to ensure you’ve read the requirements. For better visibility, I’ll share some of the requirements below.

  • You need to own the domain that you want to transfer. If you don’t own it and it’s available for registration, then you can buy it.
  • Before you can transfer your domain, you need to wait 60 days after registering your domain, transferring your domain to a different domain provider, or making changes to your registrar information. For more information, refer to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
  • You need to pay the registration fee to renew your domain for an additional 12 months. The 12 months are added to your domain’s current expiry date.
  • There might be additional costs associated with transferring your domain. Contact your domain provider for information about transfer costs.

Next, you’ll need to connect your domain to Shopify. When connecting your domain to Shopify, you will need to access your login information for your third-party domain provider account. This will allow you to adjust your DNS records to reflect Shopify’s records.

Change your DNS records in your third-party domain provider account to reflect Shopify’s records:

  • Point the A record to Shopify’s IP address: 23.227.38.65
  • Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
  • Point the CNAME record to shops.myshopify.com
  • Save your changes.

Once you’ve followed the steps to adjust your DNS records, please follow the steps listed in our help center resource here.

Let us know if you have any issues following the steps above or have questions about the process.
